For nearly two decades, Austrian collector Hannes Daxecker dedicated himself to a remarkable mission: preserving the history of the Mercedes-Benz in all its forms. Not only the most exclusive models, but also the rare colours, unusual specifications and unique stories behind them.
What began with a single Mercedes-Benz 280 SE grew into what is widely regarded as the largest private Mercedes-Benz collection in Europe. Every vehicle was carefully selected for its originality, history and character, creating a collection that celebrates the diversity and heritage of Mercedes-Benz’s flagship model.
Over the years, the collection expanded beyond the automobiles themselves, incorporating rare automobilia, historic signage, literature and interior pieces that transformed the collection into a true museum-like experience.
Today, this extraordinary collection enters a new chapter. For the first time, collectors and enthusiasts around the world have the opportunity to acquire a piece of a passion-driven legacy that took decades to build. The entire collection including automobiles, automobilia and the furnished rooms that formed part of this unique environment will be offered at auction, presenting a rare opportunity to become part of one of Europe’s most remarkable Mercedes-Benz collections.

The Metropole Auction will take place in Feldkirchen an der Donau, Austria, from the 5th of November untill the 7th of November.
